Subject: Invitation to Information and Planning Session for the Australian Masters Games, North West Coast, Tasmania, 2017

The Australian Masters Games are one of Australia’s largest multi-sport events, and from 23-30 October 2017, the games will attract interstate and international participants from up to 50 sports to the North West coast of Tasmania.

On Tuesday evening, November 24, representatives from your state sporting organisation, and local North West regional clubs and associations, are invited to the initial planning and information session which will be held from 7.00pm to 8.30pm at the Devonport Entertainment Centre, Centenary Room, 145-151 Rooke Street, Devonport.

Each sport is invited to send a state organization board member, a staff member and a representative from their relevant NW association/club.

The information session will be a vital step in understanding the platform that has seen successful games completed across Australia over its 30-year history. The Australian Masters Games Sport and Operations Manager, Aaron Humphries, will attend to brief state and local sporting organisation representatives on how the Australian Masters Games are organised, who is involved, and what role individual sports play.

The 2017 Australian Masters Games on the North West coast will be an exciting event, and it is very important that your sport sends representatives to this meeting.

Please provide your RSVPs, including organization, number of attendees, names and contact details by Wednesday, November 18 to Marie Meakins at marie.meakins@dpac.tas.gov.au, or contact Marie on 6232 7115, or mobile 0419 932 705.

Attached for your information is a full list of sports that are eligible to be a part of the 2017 Australian Masters Games.
