The Australian Masters Games will be held on the North West Coast of Tasmania from the 21 – 28 of October 2017.
The Australian Masters Games is an event where people over 30 years old can compete in a wide variety of sports.
Judo is one of the many sports on offer.

Judo will be held on:
– Saturday 21 Oct: 9:00am – 4:00pm
– Sunday 22 Oct, Monday 23 Oct: 9:00am – 5:00pm
The Venue will be the Ulverstone Judo Club, 1 Flora Street, West Ulverstone.

The next State Training will be on Saturday 25th of March at 9am at the Launceston University Dojo. This session will be run by Nationally accredited coaches to prepare Tasmanian Judo players for the upcoming 2017 Australian Championships.
Even if you do not plan on competing at Nationals, still come and train there will be plenty of Judo and lots of fun.
The 2017 Tasmanian State Titles will be hosted by the Devonport Judo Club. The venue is the Devonport Recreation Centre on Forbes Street.
This will be a great competition as the competitors will be fighting for the chance to represent Tasmania at the National Championships.
Come along and support Judo in Tasmania.
The first competition for the year will be in Devonport. The Devonport Judo Club is holding its annual competition at the Recreation Centre. Please see flyer below for further details.
All members are welcome to attend the first State Training for the year.

The 2017 Australian National Judo Championships are to be held at the Gold Coast, Queensland from Friday 9th – Monday 12th of June. Please see picture below for the schedule.
On Wednesday 23rd of November Italian Coach Alessandro Piccirillo will be at the Ulverstone Judo Club. Alessandro taking a Judo session from 5pm – 6pm for juniors and 6pm – 8pm for Seniors.
This event is open to all registered members of Judo Tasmania.

On Friday 28th of October Giant Steps School visited Ginkan Judo Club as part of World Judo Day.
Club Coach Terry Hjort taught the students about judo and for their efforts the students were awarded a certificate.
The Ulverstone Judo Club is holding its annual self defence course every Thursday for four weeks 6:30pm – 8pm.
Every Thursday starting on the 13th of October – 3 November.
Cost is $66 per person or $50 if you bring a friend .

On Sunday 21st August at the Ginkan Judo School in Sidmouth, Tasmania there was a NCAS Coaching Clinic.
During the three hour session coaches from all over Tasmania shared a wide range of judo techniques, exercises and coaching methods.
Judo Tasmania has 29 accredited coaches state wide, with a further 10 members who have commenced their qualification training.
